Open to all E-4s and below. There have been many great things accomplished since the start of the Airman Activities Program (AAP), and more to come for the airman of Chapter 371, Seymour Johnson AFB, and the surrounding area.
AAP Executive Committee: SrA Sarah L. Standifer, AAP President
The executive council, made up of Airmen, E-1 to E-4, encourages you to become involved and take a stake in their Air Force careers. When AFSA began, airmen were not, as active in the community, involved in their careers, or planning for their future.
Now that times have changed, the airmen are no longer just the worker bees. We are stepping up to the challenges and taking the lead to make a difference. It is important that we support professional organizations such as AFSA because it affects all of us; enlisted, retired, and our families. It is our quality of life that suffers if we don't speak up.
Since your arrival to the Air Force family and more specifically - Seymour Johnson AFB - you have been encouraged to network with other airmen as much as possible. We need to know what each other is doing so we can help each other out. It's all about being in the know; knowing where our resources are and utilizing them; knowing where our fellow airman are, and contacting them.
We spread the word about the AAP by, going to FTAC, going to the Airmen Enhancement Seminars, distributing flyers, and placing meeting times and dates on the base marques and in the newspaper.
These are some other organizations that SJAFB airmen are involved in:
Airman's Christian Fellowship
Airmen Against Drunk Driving
Goldsboro Boys & Girls Club - Baseball Team
MS Walk
ACS Relay for Life
